Returns & Refunds

We want you to love your Opaze jewelry piece. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, you can find our return guidelines and statutory cancellation policies below.


1. 30-DAY VOLUNTARY RETURN GUARANTEE (For all customers worldwide)

Opaze offers a voluntary return period of 30 days from the date you receive your order.

Requirements for voluntary returns:

  • The item must be unworn, undamaged, and in its original condition.

  • The item must be returned in its original packaging.

  • Exclusions: Personalized items (e.g., custom engravings, made-to-order pieces) and items purchased on sale, on promotion, or using promotional discount codes are excluded from this voluntary 30-day return guarantee. (Please note: Statutory cancellation rights for EU customers remain unaffected by these exclusions; see Section 2).

Return Shipping & Process

  • You are responsible for the direct costs of return shipping. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service, as Opaze cannot accept liability for packages lost in transit.

  • (For customers outside the EU: Please read the customs notice at the bottom of this page.)

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email. If approved, your refund will be processed and credited to your original payment method within 14 days.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges (e.g., for a different size). Please return the unwanted item for a refund and place a new order on our website. If you received a damaged item, please refer to our warranty guidelines (Section 3).

2. 14-DAY STATUTORY RIGHT OF CANCELLATION (Only for consumers within the EU)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union (EU), you are legally entitled to the following statutory right of cancellation (withdrawal). This right applies unconditionally to all items, including those purchased on sale or during promotional campaigns.

CANCELLATION POLICY

You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire fourteen days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us (Opaze Studio, Email: hello@opaze-studio.com) of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.

Effects of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

 

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us in Germany without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

Return Shipping Costs: You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

Diminished Value: You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

Exclusion of the Right of Cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalized (e.g., custom engraved or custom-made jewelry).


3. DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS (Warranty)

If an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately at hello@opaze-studio.com with your order number and a photo of the defect. In this case, we will cover all return shipping costs and arrange for a free replacement or a full refund.

2-Year Warranty: We stand behind the quality of our jewelry. Opaze Studio provides a 2-year warranty on all pieces from the date of purchase. This covers any manufacturing or material defects. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, tarnishing due to improper care, accidental damage, or loss. If your piece has a defect, please email us at hello@opaze-studio.com.


4. NOTICE FOR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE EU (e.g., Switzerland, USA)

Because our return hub is located in Germany (inside the EU), return shipments sent from outside the EU (such as Switzerland, the UK, or the United States) may be subject to import customs duties and handling fees.

  • Customs Declaration: You are responsible for properly declaring your package as "Returned Goods" (or "Return of Merchandise") with your shipping carrier and ensuring that all necessary customs documentation is securely attached to the outside of the package.

  • Customs Fees: Any customs duties, import taxes, or processing fees incurred during import into the EU are the responsibility of the sender. If Opaze is charged customs fees due to incorrect or incomplete customs declaration on your package, we reserve the right to deduct these fees directly from your refund.
