HOW WE SOURCE OUR GEMSTONES

The Art of Curation: Our Materials

At Opaze, we believe that true luxury is found in the alchemy of rare materials and precise craftsmanship. Our creative process begins with a relentless search for the exceptional, ensuring that every element of your jewelry reflects an uncompromising standard of beauty and longevity.

THE OBSESSION WITH RARITY: OUR GEMSTONES

The soul of an Opaze piece lies in its stones. We exclusively select semi-precious gemstones of AAA grade or similar - a prestigious classification reserved for the top tier of natural finds. Our curation process evaluates each stone through a rigorous lens: the depth and transparency of its color, the immaculate absence of inclusions, the precision of the master cut, and its overall captivating rarity. These are not just stones; they are natural masterpieces, chosen for their unique ability to catch and hold the light.

THE GOLD STANDARD: ARCHITECTURAL GILDING

We prioritize substance as much as shine. For our clasps, rings, and essential components, we utilize premium, when possible recycled, gold plating.

Our exquisite chains and golden beads are crafted from high-grade brass, meticulously layered with 18-karat gold. Applied by a master electroplating artisans, this luxury finish ranges between 2 and 5 microns in thickness. This ensures a deep, luminous glow that feels as substantial as it looks.

HIDDEN STRENGTH: ARTISAN CONSTRUCTION

Beyond the visible brilliance lies a foundation of resilience. To ensure an optimal hold and a fluid drape, we weave our designs using high-performance stainless steel thread. This deliberate choice offers the hidden strength necessary for daily wear, allowing your jewelry to remain a timeless staple in your collection for years to come.

Opaze is a tribute to the modern artisan - a fusion of rare geological treasures and the refined techniques of high-end jewelry making.
