MOANA means ocean in Polynesian, and this necklace was designed the way the sea actually looks: layered, surprising, full of colour you did not expect to find together. Amazonite heishi beads at 7 mm carry the stone's distinctive turquoise-green, streaked with white veining that makes each bead unique, while faceted pink opal tubes appear at intervals as warm, rose counterpoints. Gold-plated brass accents connect the composition throughout. At 40 cm with a 4 cm extension, it sits at a length that belongs between the collarbone pieces and the pendants, a necklace with genuine presence that layers beautifully or commands a look on its own.

Amazonite and Pink Opal: Two Unexpected Complements

Amazonite is a variety of feldspar found primarily in Brazil, Russia, and the United States, and its characteristic turquoise-green, veined with white, is produced by trace amounts of lead and water within the microcline crystal structure. No two amazonite beads are identical in their veining pattern, which gives any piece set with the stone a natural, unrepeatable quality. Pink opal, found primarily in Peru, has a soft, milky rose that is opaque and warm, a colour that reads as both feminine and grounded rather than delicate. Heishi beads of amazonite alongside faceted tubes of pink opal create a textural and chromatic variety that reads as effortless rather than designed, the way the ocean itself does.
