The Song of the Sea

SIRENA is named for the sirens of mythology, the guardians of the ocean whose song was said to be irresistible. This necklace earns that name through a combination of three stones and one material that share the deep, organic quality of the sea at different depths. Natural black freshwater pearls alternate with 2 mm AAA green apatite square beads and faceted green kyanite rondelles, all set with thick 18k gold-plated accents. The result is a necklace of unusual dark depth: black organic lustre, teal-green mineral clarity, and sage-green natural balance, brought together in a piece that is neither simple nor complicated but precisely right.

Three Materials, One Ocean

Black freshwater pearls are among the rarest versions of a gemstone that is already the only one produced by a living organism. Their deep black and graphite tones are natural rather than dyed, shaped by the mussel over years of nacre formation, and each pearl is unique in its form and surface quality. Green apatite, found in Brazil, Mexico, and Madagascar, has a luminous teal-green that sits between the warmth of emerald and the cool of aquamarine, and it is associated with clarity of mind and grounded personal growth. Green kyanite, found in Brazil and parts of Africa, is one of the few minerals that never accumulates negative energy and never needs cleansing, and its soft sage-green has a serene, quietly balancing quality that complements the more vivid apatite with natural ease. Together, these three materials create a necklace that rewards looking closely and layers with equal ease.
