DEA means goddess in Latin and Greek — and tanzanite is a stone that justifies that kind of language entirely. Found only in a single valley at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, it is rarer than diamonds and one of the most extraordinary stones we work with. Its violet-blue depth shifts between purple, blue, and burgundy depending on the light and angle — another pleochroic stone, never exactly the same twice. AAA-grade tanzanite rondelles at 3 mm, set between 1.5 mm gold cube accents, create a bracelet with a color presence that is genuinely unlike any other.
