AAA-grade larimar beads at 3 mm line the strand in the stone's distinctive Caribbean turquoise-blue, while a single 10 mm labradorite sphere pendant at the end of the chain responds with its characteristic iridescent shift of electric teal, deep grey, and midnight blue. Two stones that both carry blue as their primary character, but express it entirely differently. At 41 cm with a 4 cm extension, it sits at a length between the collarbone and the sternum that suits both stones.

Larimar and Labradorite: Two Rare Blues

Larimar is found in only one place on earth, a single mountain in the Barahona province of the Dominican Republic, and its soft turquoise-blue is a colour unlike anything else in the mineral world. Labradorite, found in Canada, Finland, and Madagascar, brings its labradorescent iridescence to the composition as the pendant: deep and shifting where the larimar is steady and clear. Two expressions of blue, one from the Caribbean and one from the northern lights, worn together at the collarbone.
